The Greater Atlanta Defensive Pistol Association invites you to participate in our upcoming “Introduction to IDPA Clinic” that will be held at the South River Gun Club in Conyers, GA on Saturday, March 22nd.
Who should attend?
- This is not a high-speed, low drag, double ninja, SWAT training class. This clinic is designed to cover the basic concepts of IDPA. It is intended for those who have never participated in competitive shooting or entry level IDPA shooters who have been seeking ways to improve their IDPA performance.
- Friends or spouses who you would like to see get involved in IDPA are encouraged to attend.
What equipment is needed?
- Handgun (Concealed-carry guns only - No competition-type guns)
- Hip holster worn behind centerline of body
- Belt suitable for a handgun holter. No competition-type belts
- Three magazines or speed-loaders worn behind centerline of body
- One double magazine or two single magazine pouches, or two speed-loader holders
- 50 rounds of ammunition
- Eye and ear protection
- Cover garment

- Safety and gun handling skills
- Basic skills demonstrations
- Small group break-out sessions that cover
o Shooting from cover
o Reloading
o Shooting on the move basics
o Strong/weak hand shooting

Who are the coaches?
- Local shooters with expert or master level IDPA classifications
How long will the class last?
- Approximately 4 hours
What does it cost and how do I sign up?
- The cost for this class is $25.00, payable the day of the clinic.
