    IDPA Nationals

Looking for someone to join me at the IDPA Nationals in Allentown PA . to share costs and squad together. Have already made reservations at the match hotel for $99.95 per night (3 nights) Thurs-Sat. Have a great rate on a rental car. Will shoot Fri-Sat. Depart on Sunday morning. Anyone interested please contact me and I will share flight info and coordinate getting applications submitted to IDPA HQ.

    Re: IDPA Nationals

Just found out that I would be taking a job in Coatesville, Pa. Packing up and headed there tomorrow. So I duely filled out the entry for for the national match. I'm going to be living like 80 miles from the range so cant help much with the transportation costs getting up there. I will be interested in lodging though. You heard of any other GADPA guys making the journey as well?

With any luck I will be there to start moving my wife up here. I'm sure she won't mind a day at the range.

    Re: IDPA Nationals

I need some help... I have been using the load you suggested to me for a while now; 4.3gr titegroup under 230 g fmjs seated to 1.24oal. I just invested in a chriony and am seriously inconsistant in the velocities. I broke 720 fps only 4 times out of 75 rounds! The rest were in the low to mid 600s. Can you make any sugestions for a more consistant velocity. Clearly I need to up the charge a little to hit the power threshold but I would like to see only minor deviations in the velocities. before I take these to the Ga state and Nationals. I have tried to isolate a few variables such as using only one type of brass, and seperated into three different manufacturers to try to narrow the spread between them and 25 feds, 25 wins, 25 rems all inconsistant after meticulously monitoring charge, depth, and crimp. What else is there?

    Thanks,

    Neil

    Re: IDPA Nationals

    Niel,

The only thing I can suggest is that you point the muzzle skyward before each shot on the chrono. This is the official way to chrono. It insures that all the powder is at the primer when you pull the trigger. Other than that, I suggest you go to http://forums.1911forum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58 and ask this question. There are many people with more reloading experience than me on that forum.
