The 2008 IDPA Georgia State Championship will be held at the South River Gun Club on September 20th, 2008.

Match Details:
This year's match will be a one day event and will consist of a 13 stage course of fire. Stages will include: seven penumatic and three electronic movers, a shoot house and a side match on the plate rack. The round count will be approximately 200 rounds. This match will have a shotgun start (no squads) so you may shoot with whoever you wish.
Match Fee:
The match fee is $85.00 (if received or post-marked before August 20th) and includes a Tee shirt. The late entry fee is $100.00 if any spots are available and will include a Tee shirt only if there are any left.
Since the match has not sold out, we are waiving the late fee. If you register before September 1st, you will get a T-Shirt. If you register for this match in September, you will not get a T-shirt, but the match fee will still be $85.00.
No refunds will be provided after August 30th.
Match Pre-Registration:
Please register on-line. Even if you mail your entry form and check, we request that you register online. If you have attended any of our previous club or State Championship matches (2005, 2006 or 2007) you do not need to sign the waivers again. Using our on-line registration means there is no paper to fill out or sign (unless you have never signed our waivers before).
If you have never attended a GADPA match, you can still register and pay on-line. Simply download the waivers and sign them, then fax both waivers to 770 953 8917.

Match Registration:
There will be a registration tent next to the scoring trailer on the day of the match. Shooters may pick up their badges and shooter package there. Registration will begin at 7:00 AM on the day of the match. The fist shot will be fired at 8:00 AM so please arrive early.
Awards:
Awards will be given per the latest edition of the IDPA rule book including high senior, high lady, high junior and high law enforcement.
Prizes:
Our match sponsors have generously donated a number of prizes that will be given away at random. Both Glock and Smith & Wesson have donated guns for our prize table. One drawing will be open to all shooters and the other drawing will be open to the Safety Officer and match staff.
Raffle:
We have purchased a seperate gun that will be raffled during the awards ceremony. Tickets can be purchased at the side match table. You must be present to win.
Side Match:
Bring plenty of extra ammo if you want to challenge your friends on the Bianchi plate rack. This is just for fun and is not an official stage. The cost to shoot the plates is $1.00 per string. Seperate trophies will be awarded for this event.

Parking:
There will be plenty of parking available just past the clubhouse as you drive in. Please do not drive your vehicle down into the pistol bay area.
What to bring:
IDPA Membership card and current IDPA classification card with current IDPA classification. These will be checked at registration. Novice classification will be accepted, unclassified will not. Get classified! If you bring guests make sure that they have eye and ear protection.
Safe Gun Handling Area and CCW Statement:
Georgia is a concealed carry state with reciprocity with many surrounding states. If you choose to carry a concealed handgun on to South River Gun Club property that is fine, however SRGC operates a cold range. Immediately upon arriving at SRGC either remove your carry gun and store it safely in your motor vehicle or unload your carry gun at your vehicle. Anyone caught carrying a loaded firearm anywhere on SRGC property will be immediately disqualified from the match. No questions asked, no second chances, no refunds issued. Permitted safe gun handling areas will be at your motor vehicle or in one of the designated safe areas.
Alchohol Policy:
Absolutly no alchohol is permitted on SRGC property.
Rain gear:
Please bring suitable rain gear as we do not know what the weather will hold for this day. Short of a hurricane, we will shoot ‘rain or shine’.
Lunch:
Lunches may be purchased purchased at the pavillion between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm on the day of the match.
RV Camping:
There are a limited number of RV hookups if you are interested in camping on the grounds. Please contact the South River Gun Club 770-786-3752. The clubhouse is only open on Wednesday from 3-9pm and all day Saturday and Sunday. Or, you can email Bill Clay the range manager. His email is bclay@southrivergunclub.com.
