2010 IDPA Georgia State Championship Course of Fire
Match Details:
Match Date is October 30th, 2010: This year’s match will be a one day event and will consist of a 13 stage course of fire. Stages will include: 17 pneumatic and 2 electronic movers, a shoot house and a side match on the plate rack. The round count will be approximately 200 rounds. This match will have a shotgun start (no squads) so you may shoot with whoever you wish.
Match Fee:
The match fee is $90.00 (if received or post-marked before September 30th) and includes a Tee shirt. The late entry fee is $105.00 if any spots are available and will include a Tee shirt only if there are any left.
After October 15th, no T-shirts will be available even if we still have openings.
No refunds will be provided after October 15th.
Match Pre-Registration:
Please register on-line . Even if you mail your entry form and check, we request that you register on-line. If you have attended any of our previous club or State Championship matches (2005-2009) you do not need to sign the waivers again. Using our on-line registration means there is no paper to fill out or sign. (unless you have never signed our waivers before).
If you have never attended a GADPA match, you can still register and pay on-line. Simply download the waivers (GADPA & SRGC Waivers) and sign them, then fax both waivers to 678 324 2095.

Match Registration:
There will be a registration tent next to the scoring trailer on the day of the match. Shooters may pick up their badges and shooter package there. Registration will begin at 7:00 AM on the day of the match. The fist shot will be fired at 8:00 AM so please arrive early.
Awards:
Awards will be given per the latest edition of the IDPA rule book. For each division, trophies will be awarded to the following classes: marksman, sharpshooter, expert and master. (You must be classified as marksman or higher to shoo this match.) We will also recognize the following sub-divisions: senior, high lady, high junior and high law enforcement. Trophies will be awarded to the DC and the first 3 places. Certificates will be awarded to those placing 4th or higher.
Prizes:
Our match sponsors have generously donated a number of prizes that will be given away at random. Glock has donated guns for our prize table. One drawing will be open to all shooters and the other drawing will be open to the Safety Officer and match staff.
Raffle:
We have purchased a separate gun that will be raffled during the awards ceremony. Tickets can be purchased at the side match table. You must be present to win. With each ticket purchased, you get a free run on the plate rack.
Side Match:
Bring plenty of extra ammo if you want to challenge your friends on the Bianchi plate rack. This is just for fun and is not an official stage. The cost to shoot the plates is $1.00 per string. Separate trophies will be awarded for this event.

Parking:
There will be plenty of parking available just past the clubhouse as you drive in. Please do not drive your vehicle down into the pistol bay area.
What to bring:
IDPA Membership card and current IDPA classification card with current IDPA classification. These will be checked at registration. Only Marksman classification and above will be accepted, unclassified will not. Get classified! If you bring guests make sure that they have eye and ear protection.
Safe Gun Handling Area and CCW Statement:
Georgia is a concealed carry state with reciprocity with many surrounding states. If you choose to carry a concealed handgun on to South River Gun Club property that is fine, however SRGC operates a cold range. Immediately upon arriving at SRGC either remove your carry gun and store it safely in your motor vehicle or unload your carry gun at your vehicle. Anyone caught carrying a loaded firearm anywhere on SRGC property will be immediately disqualified from the match. No questions asked, no second chances, no refunds issued. Permitted safe gun handling areas will be at your motor vehicle or in one of the designated safe areas.
Alcohol Policy:
Absolutely no alcohol is permitted on SRGC property.
Rain gear:
Please bring suitable rain gear as we do not know what the weather will hold for this day. Short of a hurricane, we will shoot ‘rain or shine’.
Lunch:
Lunches may be purchased purchased at the pavilion between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm on the day of the match.
RV Camping:
There are a number of RV hookups if you are interested in camping on the grounds. Please contact the South River Gun Club 770-786-3752. The clubhouse is only open on Wednesday from 3-9pm and all day Saturday and Sunday. Or, you can email Bill Clay the range manager. His email is bclay@southrivergunclub.com.

The match hotel is the La Quinta Inn in Conyers. Ask for the GADPA group room rate. (Singles and doubles $67.50/night) This rate is valid until September 29th, 2010 so please book early.

I was classified at the beginning of this month (September) and the scores are supposed to be in the IDPA database shortly. However, I don’t have my classifier card yet. Will this cause me problems on the day of the match?
No, it will not be a problem.

I will be attenting the Georgia State IDPA championships and will be staying in Conyers. I will need to buy some .45 ACP ammo for the match. Do you have any recommendations as to the best place to purchase ammo?

There is a WalMart very near the match hotel. I can’t say if they will have ammo at the time of the match, but it is probably you least expensive option. There are other WalMart stores pretty close by. Click the link below for their store locations in the area.
